Collusion is something that is unique problem to online poker players. Unlike other casino games where the player plays against the dealer, poker players compete against each others. Collusion happens when two poker players or more playing at the same table, team up and use tools to gang up on an unsuspecting player, these could be thru instant messages or telephone conferences, thus making collusion a great risk to online players.

There has also been questions in the form of software cheats or some other way to view other player’s cards. Data like what card you are holding is being tightly monitored by the software companies and this type of information is being sent out only to other players during the showdown so it will be difficult for other players to actually find ways to glance at someone else’s card.

There is also what is called active cheating that is also being done on land based casinos.Some players work as a team and they try to raise the pot as high as they can for one another generally just giving each other the best advantage but these type of cheating can be detected and some casinos even programmed their software to interpret if players are involved in this form of cheating.

So although there are some ways that unscrupulous people find to cheat at poker it is not totally remarkable and software companies are always finding means of tightening their security and looking out after these type of people.
