As a new poker player you have had to learn all the basic poker rules and regulations, know some strategies that will make you a better player and yet after doing all these you still might find yourself at the  losing end of the game. How is this so? It may be because you have continuously committed one mistake after another and it is about time you are made aware of these errors.

Do not get distracted. Poker may be a skill game but it still demands concentration and an attention to detail especially when you are playing online. There are some online players who try to play two or more game at a time and this is not advisable especially for beginners. You must be able to fully concentrate on the game and distractions at home like television, telephones etc. can ruin this concentration and make you commit costly errors you cannot afford.

Another error you can easily make if you are not careful is bluffing too much or even too little. Other players will be able to read you quite well if you hardly ever bluff, they will certainly know if you are holding a winning or a losing hand. Bluffing too much may also harm your game so try to find a balance in between and this strategy you can later improve as you go along with your game.

Budget! Budget! This is a very important part of your game. Making a budget before jumping to the fray will help you last for a long time in the world of poker. Playing too much or over the budget will definitely make you lose money that you cannot afford to lose in the first place. Playing within your budget ensures that you can and will be back tomorrow for another challenge.

These are just some of the errors you have to know and avoid committing, remember that a presence of mind is important, avoid making these costly mistakes and you'll be on your way for a successful poker career.
